At 8.00pm on 6th March Sorren Maclean is playing his home town of Tobermory – at An Tobar – with his usual backup line of John Barlow on drums and Gordon Maclean on bass. He’s supported by Glasgow-based songwriter, Anna Meldrum.

At 8.00pm on 6th March at An Tobar, Tobermory’s Sorren Maclean is back in his home venue after his February tour and is celebrating the release of his new single, ‘Bus Tax and Bars’. He’ll have his usual backing band of John Barlow (drums) and Gordon Maclean (bass), generating upbeat pop and catchy tunes. Tobermory’s singer, Sorren MacLean, is appearing with his band in the Celtic Connections programme at Glasgow’s Classic Grand on 31st January 2009. Sorren, on vocals and acoustic guitar with John Barlow on drums and Gordon MacLean on double bass, is sharing the programme with James Yorkston and Blue Rose Code. Tickets (standing) are £12.50. Something of a homecoming in more ways than one – Tobermory singer Sorren MacLean plays a concert at An Tobar in his home town on 6th March 2009. His band – with himself on vocals and acoustic guitar, John Barlow on drums and Gordon MacLean on double bass, are signed to Mull’s Tob Records. The Tobermory gig is one of a series of Sorren’s and the band’s early 2009 engagements including earlier appearances at Celtic Connections and Edinburgh’s City Cafe.
