Emergency exercise at Oban Airport on Saturday 13th December
Argyll and Bute Council has announced that, in partnership with the emergency services, it is holding an emergency exercise at Oban Airport on Saturday 13th December 2008. It will take place between 10am and 12 noon
Because several emergency vehicles will be used as part of the exercise, the Council is concerned to warn members of the public not to be alarmed by the increased activity in and around the airport on the day.
These exercises in emergency planning and procedures are carried out by the Council and its partners on a regular basis. Their purpose is to ensure that plans are in place to protect members of the public in the event of a real emergency situation.
