Cowalfest 2010
Cowal’s festival of walking and the arts runs from 8th to 17th October.
Details will be published at For Argyll as they become available.
The 2009 event proved more popular than ever and showed even more ambition, featuring a major event within a major event – an exhibition on Alexander Reid, art dealer and member of the innermost circle of European fin de siecle artists – and friend of VIncent Van Gogh – for whom he was something of a physical doppelganger and who painted Reid;s portrait.
This was curated by Cowalfest’s Secretary, Dorothy Brice, who wrote a booklet to accompany the exhibition, copies of which may still be available at Cowalfest.
