Thursday 15th October ramps up the already high adrenaline Continue reading
More marathon than half marathon – the weather did all it could to test the spirits and strengths of this year’s competitors in Coll’s annual race. First it all looked good. Then came the wind – blowing hard into the faces. Then the rain let loose, big time. The notion of conversion to swamp soccer must have occurred. The organisers, overcome with admiration for the stoicism of the compettors, simply describe it as becoming a case of ‘mind over matter’ at this stage. And there was always the hospitality at the hotel afterwards. The results – with times – were:
