On 2nd September, a sixty-one year old diver was rescued from a dive at Loch Aline where he was suffering from the bends – a life-threatening condition caused when divers do not properly decompress on the way up from deep diving. The man was taken from Loch Aline to the hyperbaric chamber at Dunstaffnage. The Lifeboat launched at 5.30pm and was refuelled and ready for any other shouts by 8.11pm.
