First Shoots – 5 Rhythms Ecstatic Dance workshop – Benderloch
On Sunday 25th January 2009 from 10.30am to 5.00pm at the Victoria Hall in Benderloch there will be a Workshop in 5 Rhythms Ecstatic Dance, led by Barbara Sellars.
This is designed to attune to the new rhythms of life emerging from the winter and celebrated at Imbolc, the earliest Festival of Spring on 1st February. The dance leader says of the event: ‘Our focus for this day will be a feminine one of listening-in deeply, nurturing and allowing the natural flow of our new seed energies. We will be gently clearing space for fresh growth and exploring the delicate beginnings of our creative potential through the poetry of our dance’.
Everyone is welcome. Dance experience as such is not necessary. 5 Rhythms is a type of movement designed to let everyone discover the dance within themselves.
The fee for the day is £35. Booking is through Mairi Stones, email at: mairistones@fs2.com or by phone at 01631 720118.
