Hilarious council insight in Argyllhire Advertiser

The substantially improved local newspaper, the Argyllshire Advertiser – known with fond irreverence as ‘The Squeak’], reports on Page 2 today, 24th April, that a meeting was held on 13th April to discuss the council’s plans to address the ongoing impact on cost and efficiency of staff absences through sickness.

The meeting took place. The situation was discussed.

The Executive Director responsible for calling it and whose plans were the focus of the agenda, was Pippa Milne – the controversial appointment to replace Sandy McTaggart in the crucial Economic Development and Infrastructure portfolio – and lacking experience of either.

Ms Milne was not present at the meeting.

She was on sick leave.

  • I actually appreciate the Irony.

Ms Milne and Fergus “foggy” Murray have not exactly set the Heather on fire!

Poor old Fergus may not have invented the Oban Bay Marina farce, but he has enthusiastically added to the ineptitude. No doubt backed every step of the way by Ms Milne

  • Guys, if you want hilarious, take a look at the “Sculpture” on the side of the new Helensburgh Council Offices. I laughed so hard my significant other thought it was time to phone the ambulance again lol

My daughter is convinced it is evil and I dare say glowing red eyes would make that work a treat.
