It’s an exciting week in an exciting year for artists’ collective, Artmap Argyll.
Applications for the post of Artmap’s Development Consultant – supported by a grant from the Big Lottery’s Investing in Ideas – closed on 24th October.
The field – of twenty one applicatns – has been impressive and, by the sound of it, exhilarating. A short list of six has somehow been whittled out of it and, at the interviews taking place this week, 3rd to 8th November, the finalists must to make a proposal as to how they would develop and expand Artmap Argyll’s creative products and services.
Identifying the person who will be the best to lead Artmap Argyll through its next stage of development is arguably the most important job the Artmap committee and directors have had to do before.
2014 has already been an exciting year, with Artmap Argyll registering as a limited company and setting up as a social enterprise.
Now, this week, they are making this key appointment from a competitive shirt list. The outcome will be fascinating.
