Police Scotland Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 19th February 2014

Between 11.30pm on Tuesday 11th February and 8.30pm on 12th February, a window to a property in Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead was smashed by unknown means.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on telephone number 101.

At 11.05pm on Wednesday 12th February, staff at the Coriander Restaurant, Argyll Street, Lochgilphead discovered a damaged window to the main door of the restaurant and observed a male described as approximately 5ft4in in height and wearing dark clothing, running towards Lorn Street, away from locus.
Police are keen to speak to any person who was in the vicinity of the locus at this time, especially any males described above who may have been in the area for legitimate reasons.

Drink Driving
At 7.35pm on Thursday 13th February, police stopped a car on the A83 at Ardrishaig which was being driven by a 69 year old male. The male was subsequently arrested for drink driving and appeared at Dunoon Sheriff Court on Friday 14th February.

Driving Offence
At 5.15pm on Saturday 15th February, police officers on patrol on the A83 in Ardrishaig noted a car driving at speed and conducting an alleged careless overtake. The car was stopped and the 56 year old male was charged with driving without due care and attention.
