Scotland’s friendliest festival welcomes pop veterans Madness, rock gods The Darkness and Friday night headliners, the hotly anticipated uber cool indie band, Two Door Cinema Club – pictured above.
Fans can keep up with the musical action as Fiona MacKenzie and Niall Iain MacDonald host three nights of spectacular live music on BBC ALBA, starting on Thursday 4th August, with further festival highlights to follow.
The 13th annual Tartan Heart festival takes place in the Scottish Highlands, at the Belladrum Estate near Inverness. The festival’s main stage, housed in the estate’s idyllic Italian walled garden is the central location for three nights of music and festival colour on BBC ALBA, including some special acoustic sets.
Thursday’s live show includes rapper, singer and producer Tiggs Da Author who brings south London hustle to the Belladrum stage. Festival favourites, The Darkness, are guaranteed to keep the party going, with their winning combination of rock and pop hooks.
Indie rockers, Two Door Cinema Club, headline a Friday Live bill that covers a wide bandwidth of music including Skipinnish, The LaFontaines, Rachel Sermanni, Barbara Dickson and the psychedelic Super Furry Animals.
Belladrum’s reputation as the festival hot ticket is assured with a Saturday night broadcast that sees the rootsy folk five-piece, Breabach, rubbing shoulders and sharing stages with legendary Wilko Johnson, Turin Brakes and the nation’s favourite nutty boys, Madness.
