Theft of Painting

Between 8.00am on Thursday 16th June and 9.00pm on Friday 17th June, a small painting [picturing a Church and 2 Swans] was stolen from the unlocked porch of a house in McIntyre Terrace, Lochgilphead. Police are investigating and are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 101.

Careless Driving

As a result of enquiries into a report of a Careless Driving incident on 3rd June on the A83 between Furnace and Minard, a 17 year old man was traced on 20th June and charged with alleged Careless Driving. The man was issued with a £100 Fixed penalty ticket with 3 penalty points.

No Insurance

About 6.20pm on Tuesday 21st June, a car was stopped by Police for a routine check, on the A83 at Inveraray. Subsequent enquiries revealed that there was allegedly no insurance in force for the vehicle and the driver, an 18 year old man was charged with the offence. The owner of the car, a 42 year old man, was also charged with allegedly allowing the car to be driven without insurance. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Threatening and Abusive Behaviour

About 9.10pm on Wednesday 22nd June, in Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead, a 49 year old man allegedly behaved in a threatening and abusive manner. The man was arrested, charged and later release with a Fixed Penalty Notice which carries a £40 fine.

Theft of Mountain Bike

Between 8.00pm on Monday 20th June and 7.00pm on Thursday 23rd June, a Shed at the rear of a house in Arkland, Inveraray was broken in to and a Silver and Blue colured Norco Nitro gents Mountain bike was stolen. Police are investigating and are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 101.
