Police Service for Scotland, Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 20th June 2016

Vandalism at Lochgilphead Community Centre

Between 5.00pm on Friday 10th and 8.20am on Monday 13th June, 5 windows at Lochgilphead Community Centre were smashed. During the previous weekend, 1 window was also smashed. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Possession of a Machete

About 4.00pm on Wednesday 15th June, on the A83, near to Kilmory Industrial Estate, Lochgilphead, a man (57) was searched and allegedly found in possession of a machete. The man was arrested and held in custody for court. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

 Serious Road Traffic Collision

About 4.20pm on Saturday 18th June, a serious road Traffic Collision occurred on the A83, about 1 mile on the Glasgow side of Inveraray. One motorcycle was involved and the man riding the bike suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he remains in a serious condition. The road was closed until about 8.45pm which the incident was being dealt with and investigated. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
