BEAR Scotland are to begin overnight resurfacing works on a 1.5km section of the A82, south of Inverbeg this coming Sunday, 19th June – for two weeks.
The resurfacing will be carried out 7pm to 7am on week nights, with a later start time of 8pm until 7am on Sunday nights. No works will take place on Friday or Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of road users and road workers, temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation, while works are undertaken.
Traffic management will be removed out with working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s Representative for the North West, says: ‘The surfacing improvements have been programmed to minimise the impact to the traveling public as much as possible through scheduling the works overnight and avoiding weekends. This latest investment to the A82 will improve the quality and safety of the connection between Luss and Tarbet.’
