Breach of the Peace

About 11.00pm on Monday 23rd May, on Oban Road, Lochgilphead, a 42 year old man was arrested for allegedly behaving in a disorderly manner. A recorded Police Warning was issued.

Breach of Bail Conditions

About 8.00pm on Tuesday 24th May, a man was allegedly in a house in Furnace in Breach of Court imposed Bail conditions. Subsequently on Sunday 29th May, a 55 year old man was arrested and charged. The man was detained for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Theft of Outboard Motor

Between 10th and 24th May, at Tarbert Yacht Club, Pier Road, Tarbert, an Evinrude 20HP Outboard Motor was stolen from a boat. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Threatening and Abusive Message

About 2.20pm on Wednesday 25th May, a woman in Ardrishaig, received a threatening and abusive message via text message. Subsequently a 46 year old man was traced and charged with allegedly sending the message. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Vandalism at Lochgilphead Community Pool

Between 10.00am and 6.00pm on Wednesday 25th May, at the Mid Argyll Community Pool in Lochgilphead, the lid to an Oil storage tank was damaged. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Assault

About 10.50pm on Wednesday 25th May, a Disturbance allegedly occurred in a house in MacMillan Court, Ardrishaig. Police attended and a 37 year old man was detained and later arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman. The man was detained for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Assault x 2

About 11.30am on Friday 27th May, a Disturbance allegedly occurred in a house in Linnet Court, Ardrishaig. Police attended and a 53 year old woman and a 28 year old man were detained and later arrested for allegedly assaulting each other. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Street Drinking

About 11.00pm on Friday 27th May, in Manse Brae, Lochgilphead, a 38 year old man was issued with a Recorded Police Warning for allegedly consuming alcohol in a public place, in contravention of local Bylaws.

Assault

About 00.30am on Saturday 28th May, in a Hotel in Inveraray, a woman allegedly assaulted another woman. Police are pursuing a positive line of enquiry and a report is likely to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal when the alleged offender is traced.

Vandalism to Caravan

Between 13th and 14th May, at Duncholgan Caravan Site, Lochgilphead, a Static Caravan was damaged by having doors and window smashed. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Abusive Behaviour

About 7.15pm on Saturday 28th May, a 33 year old man was arrested in relation to three recent incidents of threatening and abusive behavior, 2 incidents in Kilmichael Glassary and 1 incident in Lochgilphead. The man was detained for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Theft of Tip money and pedal cycle

About 00.05am on Sunday 29th May, in a Hotel in Inveraray, a man allegedly stole Bar Staff Tip money which was recovered. The man then left and also stole a pedal cycle which was also later recovered. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Dangerous Driving, No Insurance and Fail to Stop for Police Scotland

About 10.45 pm on Sunday 29th May, in Bishopton Road, Lochgilphead, a vehicle was allegedly driven at excessive speed and failed to stop for Police. The vehicle was later traced and found to have no Insurance. The vehicle was seized and enquiries are ongoing to trace the drive who will likely be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drunk Driver

About 6.15am on Monday 30th May, in Poltalloch Street, Lochgilphead, a car was stopped and the 38 year old woman who was driving was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Traffic Offences

On Thursday 26th May, 1 man was allegedly driving at excessive speed on the A83 at Lochgilphead, a £100 Fixed penalty ticket with 3 penalty points was issued.
