Oban lifeboat on shout to motor vessel adrift near entrance to Loch Etive

The volunteer crew of Oban RNLI lifeboat had their breakfast interrupted this morning, 9th April 2016.

They were tasked by Stornoway Coastguard to assist a motor vessel adrift in Ardmucknish Bay close to the mouth of Loch Etive.

Once on scene the volunteer crew quickly established a tow line and took the boat the short distance to Dunstaffnage Marina.

The lifeboat was then able to return to station and was ready for service again by 08:30.
