Oban lifeboat out again – medevac from Mull

Oban RNLI lifeboat launched yesterday evening, Thursday 24th March, to a medevac from the Isle of Mull.Mora Edith Macdonald launched at 19.15 to transfer a casualty from Craignure on Mull to the mainland.

The volunteer crew left the berth with two paramedics onboard, making best speed towards Craignure. Once alongside the linkspan at Craignure the casualty was safely transferred to the lifeboat for the journey back to Oban. By 21.05 the lifeboat was back at her berth in Oban and the casualty transferred on to a waiting ambulance.

Oban lifeboat then returned to station where she was refuelled and made ready for service again by 21.20.
