Culpable and Reckless Conduct
About 12.25am on Tuesday 5th January, following a report of a woman in Manse Brae, Lochgilphead having been struck by pellets from an Air Pellet Gun, a 23 year old man was detained and later arrested and charged with alleged Culpable and Reckless Conduct. The woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
About 2.30pm on Monday 4th January, on Harbour Street, Tarbert, a car maneuvering from a parking space allegedly struck another car and drove off. Subsequently a 77 year old man was traced and charged with alleged Careless Driving and Failing to Stop & report a collision. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Window Smashed – Witness Appeal
About 2.15am on Wednesday 6th January, a Pane of glass in the door at the Coriander Restaurant, Argyll Street, Lochgilphead was smashed. Police are investigating and are appealing for any witness to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Theft of Fencing Materials
Between 4.00pm on Wednesday 23rd December and 10.00pm on Wednesday 30th December, 20 rolls of Stock fence netting were stolen from the track leading to An Suidhe Wind Farm, Auchindrain. Police are investigating and appealing for any witness to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Possession of Drugs with Intent to Supply to others & Vehicle Defects
About 9.45pm, on Saturday 9th January, on Poltalloch Street, Lochgilphead, a car was stopped and searched and a 43 year old man was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of Cannabis with intent to supply it to others. The man was also charged with allegedly driving a vehicle with defective brakes and lights. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
About 02.35am on Sunday 10th January, on Chalmers Street, Ardrishaig, a car was stopped for a routine check. The 47 year old man who was driving was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
