In a world difficult to comprehend, Nathan struggles to connect with those around him – including his loving mum [Sally Hawkins]. When taken under the wing of an unconventional teacher, Nathan’s mathematical talent is encouraged and wins him a place in the UK team at the International Mathematical Olympiad. In the process Nathan begins to build complex relationships. A gentle and intelligent exploration of aspects of autism.
