Richard you said in your post referring to MP’s salaries.
They are on £100,000 per year
You even gave a link.
This is what the link says,

“The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) announced on 16 July 2015 that MPs will be paid an annual salary of £74,000, backdated to 8 May 2015. The change to the salary will take effect from 31 July 2015. The backdated salary payment will be made on 28 August 2015.”
Don’t accuse others of telling lies.
When it comes to telling porkies, you are the porkiest.
Also, when it comes to expenses, your lot, the unionists are much “better together” at the fiddling.

  • An Independent Scotland’s economy was never going to be built around the oil price.
Oil prices were always going to vary.
The revenue was always going to be a bonus.
The variations were always going to be how big the bonus would be.
Remember Thatcher used the oil money to destroy manufacturing in the UK. What ever happened to “Silicon Glen “?
Blair and Brown and Darling squandered more money and deprived so many of opportunity their parents had worked hard to provide.
Illegal wars? Weapons of mass destruction? The Millennium Dome? MP’s expenses fraud? The Channel Tunnel has more debt than some nations and was never going to be viable. Remember the bonus it was to make to the Scottish economy?
I can supply you with an expanded list if required. Food Banks?….
Scotland’s voters are seeing the demise of a society they once cherished.
This was the British dream. For many people this dream has turned into a nightmare. Under Westminster rules and systems this has been a painful process for many.
While other parts of the UK feel the same pain they will find difficulty
    changing it.
Scottish voters roughly split 50/50 according to most polls have an opportunity to at least try to change this demise of society with Independence. I feel they are moving closer to making that change.
JB you and I could have a sensible debate, but on a forum like “for argyll” there is no chance. This is car crash TV stuff promoted by the management. Debate level very low, promoted by the management.
Why don’t they just use it as a news forum without pushing there opinion down our throats.
  • Malcolm K
Aren’t you the one who wanted to offer no support to the refugees from war torn areas.
    Real class?
  • So no challenge then Malcolm,
you agree that Simon and yourself lack class.
I don’t see much of ‘for argyll” so don’t see very much of Simon.
Maybe he just thought he was being clever, the benefit of the doubt?
The times I do see ‘for argyll ‘ it is obvious you lack class.
  • For SIMON AND MALCOLM.
While Simon’s post is obviously entertaining Malcolm, it is interesting to note that the content lacks class. The entertainment value, from Malcolm’s response probably indicates that both Simon and Malcolm lack class.
We are fortunate that the First Minister exudes class at all times.
