Flood threat for Clyde coast and ferry disruption warning

The conjunction of a storm surge with a high tide threatens flooding along the Clyde Coast.

The predicted return of strong winds saw CalMac issue a warning before the New Year that ferry service disruption is to be expected for a few days anytime now; and that travellers after the Hogmanay break would be wise to consider their options on date of travel and on alternative routes and means of travel, where appropriate.
