Communal effort in bag-packing pays off for Dunoon Burgh Hall

The bag-packing day at Morrison’s supermarket, by volunteer supporters of Dunoon’s Burgh Hall, raised a serious £864.03.

Organiser, Fiona Page, did a fantastic job for which she and all the volunteers have been thanked by a very grateful team at the Burgh Hall – as have those who gave their support by donating and helping to build the Hall’s fund.

Fiona says: It was lovely to see folk come out to help, on a crazy rainy day, mid way through family events, so thanks to those who braved the tills.  I don’t have everyone’s individual email address, so just to say thanks to everyone.’

This year the Burgh Hall will looking for as much help as possible with its fundraising efforts. It’s target for the year is to make – successfully – the final big push towards funding the full refurbishment of the building.

Watch this space for more details or get in touch with the Burgh Hall direct if you have a fundraising idea you would like to take forward.

Everyone interested in volunteering to help at the Burgh Hall is welcome to drop in any Thursday over January and February, between 12noon and 6pm.

The promise is: ‘Ann will be in and the kettle will be on.’
