MacMillan asks constituents to support RNIB’s Christmas Used Stamps appeal

Stuart McMillan, SNP MSP for Scotland West and Convenor of the Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Visual Impairment, has urged his constituents to support the Royal National Institute of Blind People [RNIB]‘s Christmas Used Stamp Appeal.

Used stamp donations are an important income stream for the RNIB. All donated stamps will be sold on to stamp dealers who buy them in the hope that there might be a rare or valuable one amongst the kilos that they buy from a wholesaler.

All the money raised from the appeal goes towards funding the RNIB’s core services of advice, support and information to people with sight loss.

Stuart McMillan says: ‘I would encourage constituents to support the RNIB campaign and send their used stamps to the organisation.

‘The organisation does a tremendous job in supporting people with sight loss and I hope they receive many stamp donations which will in-turn assist their continued work.’
