Dunoon Burgh Hall is one of Argyll’s serious enablers – bringing to Cowal and visitors an arts and activities programme that is always fresh and full of surprises – from parkour [free running], to art on a postcard, to photographic exhibitions by world renowned photographers, to dance and ceilidhs, to workshops on just about everything.
The hall is a living resource, a working facility in the ongoing restoration of an important civic building. Its programme needs funds; and the restoration needs funds – so fundraising is a constant activity.
Tomorrow [Saturday 28th December] the Burgh Hall has a bag-packing fundraising slot at Morrison’s supermarket in John Street, in Dunoon town centre.
Anyone who is around and can spare an hour [or two] will be a hero of the hour. The Hall team would love to see you there.
Come along just before the start of each session at 10am, 12noon or 2pm – and find Fiona Page, who will sort you out with a t-shirt and a task.
And they say that If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry. They’ll do their best to try to rope you in to some other fundraising activities in the new year – and there will be plenty to do.
