At 9.35am on Friday 23rd August police attended a house in Manse Brae, Lochgilphead in possession of a drug search warrant. Entry was gained and a search commenced which resulted in a 26 year old male being reported for allegedly being found in possession of cannabis.
At 6.30pm on Saturday 24th August a 39 year old male was detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Chalmers Street, Ardrishaig. A subsequent search of the male found him to be in possession of a quantity of controlled drugs.
He was thereafter arrested and charged with possessing drugs with intent to supply and detained in custody to appear at court on 26th August.
At 3am on Friday 23rd August police were called to an address in Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead in relation to a disturbance taking place.
Enquiries by police led to a 31 year old male being arrested for a breach of the peace and detained in custody to appear at court on 26th August due to the domestic nature of the incident.
At 9am on Tuesday 20th August police were called to Lochgilphead Joint Campus after reports were received of a disturbance taking place between several adults. Police attended and after enquiries two males aged 25 and 18 were arrested for assault and breach of the peace along with a 36 year old female for a breach of the peace. All three were detained in custody to appear at court.
A further two females aged 29 and 34 have been reported for a breach of the peace.
During the early hours of Sunday 25th August police were called to an address in Peddie Bank, Lochgilphead in relation to a disturbance taking place.
Enquiries by police led to a 29 year old male being arrested for a breach of the peace and detained in custody to appear at court on 26th August due to the domestic nature of the incident.
Possession of Knife
At 11.40pm on Thursday 22nd August, police had cause to stop a car on the A83 near to Lochgilphead being driven by a 22 year old male. A subsequent search of the car revealed the presence of a knife. The 22 year old male was arrested and detained in custody to appear at court on 23rd August.
Attempted theft – witness appeal
Between 9.30pm on Sunday 25th August and 00.15am on Monday 26th August, an attempt was made to break into a car parked in Chalmers Street, Ardrishaig, near to Victoria Terrace. No damage was made to the vehicle and enquiries are continuing.

At 7.19pm on Sunday 25th August police were involved in a mountain rescue after 4 climbers on Beinn Bhuidhe, Cairndow reported one of their number suffering a broken ankle. The climbers were well equipped and the Search and Rescue helicopter attended and uplifted them from the mountainside, with the 3 non injured climbers being dropped off at Loch Fyne Oysters and the injured male being taken to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow in relation to his injured ankle.
