Last week, Argyll Holidays’ Campbell family became winners again.
They were given the coveted Best Scottish Family Business of 2013 at the Scottish Business Awards and the Renewable Energy Supplier of the Year at The Scottish Farmer Agricultural Awards 2013.
Scotland’s business elite gathered on 20th June for the prestigious Scottish Business Awards and Argyll Holidays are delighted to have been singled out for The Best Family Business of The Year.
A cluster of VIPs, including Bill Clinton, Alex Salmond and Sir Tom Hunter, top business CEOs and other business movers and shakers travelled from across Scotland and further afield to attend the event, which was at the International Conference Centre in Edinburgh.
The Campbell Directors of the business, proud to have won, said: ‘As a family we are absolutely delighted to win this award for Best Scottish Family Business of 2013. We were nominated alongside a fantastic array of companies and we feel that this award reflects the true meaning of a family business.
‘With 3 generations of our family involved with the management and day to day running of Argyll Holidays, everyone works well together to provide a unique holiday experience in this stunning part of Scotland.’
Argyll Holidays’ centres offer a great choice of self catering accommodation from luxury lodges with hot tubs to modern caravans. There’s also plenty to do when you’re at any of the centres; from golfing, swimming, archery, eating out or simply relaxing – there are activities on site to keep the whole family engaged.
Keith, Allan and Roy Campbell say: ‘Winning both these prestigious awards is recognition of the highest standards of service and commitment that our team consistently delivers and we are absolutely delighted to be honoured with both the Best Scottish Family Business of 2013 and the Renewable Energy Supplier of the Year.’
With seven different award-winning parks in the area and over 40 years in the business, Argyll Holidays is one of the most trusted names in holiday accommodation.
Their many different parks allow them to meet the needs of most holiday home owners. The Hunters Quay and Drimsynie Holiday Villages are very family focused and appeal to owners looking for lots of child-friendly activities.
Then the parks at Loch Eck, Loch Awe, Stratheck and St Catherine’s attract a lot of trekkers, anglers and cyclists who love the great outdoors.
In this first week of July 2013, the Campbells has launched a company-wide recycling programme with the aim to achieve zero waste to landfill.
