Public Indecency
At 4pm on Sunday 2nd June a male described as white, aged between 40 to 45, slim build, about 6ft in height with a moustache and wearing black leathers with a green stripe on the back, was observed by two females sitting on a bench on the Front Green, Inveraray with his trousers partially down, masturbating. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the male.

Vandalism
Between 10.30pm and 11.10pm on Tuesday 4th June, the windscreen of a forklift truck was vandalised by an unknown person sitting within the cab and kicking it with their feet. The vehicle was parked within a yard at Kilmory Industrial Estate.

Theft
Between 10am and 3.40pm on Thursday 6th June a black Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone was stolen from a schoolbag within the Lochgilphead Joint Campus.

Breach of the Peace
At 10.05pm on Friday 7th June, police officers were on foot patrol within Tarbert when they became aware of a male shouting and swearing. Due to the males behaviour he was arrested for a breach of a peace. The 29 year old male has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drug Offences
At 6.30pm on Saturday 8th June, police had cause to stop a car on the A83 Furnace during which their suspicions were raised and a search was conducted of the car and persons within. This search resulted in a 31 year old male being reported for possession of an illegal substance.

At 1.05am on Sunday 9th June, police attended a licensed premises in Tarbert in relation to a male having been refused entry and thereafter causing a disturbance. The male was traced by police and due to the circumstances, he was searched which resulted in the 29 year old male being reported for possession of an illegal substance.

Attempted theft
At 1144pm on Monday 3rd June, police were called by a member of the public from McDonald Terrace, Lochgilphead stating that they had disturbed a male attempting to steal a bicycle from a garden shed.
The male was described as wearing a hoodie.
Police would like to advise members of the public of the importance of protecting their own property, and to report any suspicious activity to police by using the telephone number 101.

Letter Fraud
Local police were contacted by a member of the public this week in relation to a letter that they had received claiming to be from the Euromillions and that they had won a large amount of money.
Police would like to remind members of the public that these types of communication, whether by letter, phone or internet, are very common, and usually originate from countries outside the UK and even Europe.
The basic advice is that you don’t get anything for nothing. This type of correspondence should never be replied to, and should be disposed of.
