Caol Ruadh ‘Early Bird’ treat as the Fife yachts come through the Kyles

On Monday 1st July, when the fabulous Scottish classic yachts designed by William Fife and built at the Fairlie yard come through the East Kyle of Bute as the 2013 Fife Regatta fleet heads for lunch at Tighnabruaich – there is another treat in store.

The Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park, just north of Colintraive on the shores of the East Kyle, is wonderfully positioned for a great view of the yachts threading their way through the shallows at the Burnt Islands – just opposite Caol Ruadh.

The team at Caol Ruadh are doing ‘Early Bird’ -  9:30 am  – coffee and croissants on the Monday for anyone wanting to watch the Fife boats sail through the Kyles in front of Caol Ruadh.

And there are all of the sculptures in the 2013 collection to discover in the grounds of Caol Ruadh, with carpenter Guy Elder’s latest piece – Shrine to lost souls – due to be installed by then.
