Rothesay Pavilion – an art deco gem on the island of Bute is a Category A listed building which has been at the heart of Bute island life for the last seven decades.
The Pavilion will undergo regeneration over the coming years through a £7M renovation project which will create a striking 21st Century attraction to celebrate the Isle of Bute’s rich heritage as a traditional Scottish seaside resort.
It will be a creative hub at the heart of Bute’s cultural and community life.
The sustainability of the project will be dependent upon innovative use of the high quality facilities, promotion of this unique heritage asset, imaginative event programming and wide ranging community engagement.
All of this will increase visitor numbers and provide opportunities for new business and social activity on Bute.
A new organisation is being formed to lead this ambitious project and manage the building on completion.
Dynamic and creative individuals are being sought to join the Board of Directors. in particular, a Chair and several non-executive Directors who have the proven skills and experience to deliver the creative, cultural and community vision for this building.
