Strathclyde Police Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 4th March 2013

Look at the number of thefts of domestic oil reported below.  With the recent increase in reports of thefts of heating oil, Mid Argyll Police are reminding householders to take steps to secure their oil tanks and to check the oil level in their tanks regularly.

The public are also urged to report any suspicious vehicles or activity possibly connected with oil thefts at the time they see it by calling Police on 01546 702200.

Theft of Child’s Scooter – Witness Appeal
Between 7.15 and 8.00pm on Tuesday 26th February, a purple and black coloured child’s Stunt Scooter was stolen from a garden in Union Street, Lochgilphead. Police are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 01546 702200.

Theft of Oil – Witness Appeal
Between 2nd and 27th February, a quantity of heating oil was stolen from a tank in a garden of a house in Mount Pleasant, Manse Brae, Lochgilphead. Police are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 01546 702200.

Theft of Oil – Witness Appeal
Between 14th December 2012 and 28th February 2013, a quantity of heating oil was stolen from a tank in a garden of a house in Kilmartin. Police are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 01546 702200.

Breach of Bail
About 4.50pm on Thursday 28th February, in the Ford area, a 31 year old man was arrested and charged with allegedly breaching bail conditions set by the court. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Breach of the Peace, False Accusations and Breach of Bail
About 6.40 on Friday 1st March, in the Minard area, a 31 year old man was arrested and charged with allegedly Breaching the Peace, making false accusations and breaching bail conditions set by the court. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drunk and Incapable
About 3.00am on Sunday 3rd March, a 54 year old man was arrested in Tarbert for allegedly being drunk and incapable of looking after himself. The man was later released when sober.

Morning After Drunk Driver
About 8.25am on Sunday 3rd March, a 41 year old man was stopped by Police while driving his car on the A816 near Kilmichael Glassary, The man allegedly provided a positive breath test and subsequently a blood sample was taken for analysis.

Disturbance
About 6.00pm on Sunday 3rd March, following a report of a disturbance at a house in Tarbert, a 27 year old man was detained, he was later charged with alleged abusive behaviour and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
