The LORN local producers’ market is now almost entirely under cover at Kintaline Farm in Benderloch – but this Thursday, 7th March, the weather may do them a favour as well for the first market of the season.
The highlight of the event is the focus on Local Produce Kintyre who have teamed up with NHS Highland’s Rocking Red Heart Roadshow, both guesting at the market.
Some events will be held in local community gardens – and the overall promise is party time.
The Barrow Band will be rocking it up as well, around their barrow of delights. And you can literally peddle your socks off to make a delicious smoothie.
Chef Alison Sylora will be cooking up the wonderful local produce – and there’s a full house of that at the market, with meat, fish, ready meals, preserves, baking, eggs, herbs, sweets – and freshly prepared refreshments available all day.
There will be craft stalls galore, with jewellery, scarves, artwork, knitwear and – known all over the world now – the Mary’s Meals children’s food aid charity tied to local schooling, will be there with its local hand crafters and their inventive gifts for Mothers’ Day this coming Sunday.
Anyone feeling the strain of too much to see and too much to eat will find the Reiki, Physiotherapy, Tai Chi and Kairos therapists present with a solution to hand.
ALL the Fun of the Fair will be, they say, at the first LORN market of the year – and it doesn’t sound as if they’ll be wrong.
So Rock Up In Red to Keep Well in Argyll at Kintaline Farm, Benderloch on Thursday 7th March – from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
