Strathclyde Police Lochgilphead: reports for week to 26th February

No Insurance
About 11.55am on Friday 22nd February, a Ford Transit Van was stopped by Police on Poltalloch Street, Lochgilphead, checks revealed that the vehicle was not insured and a 57 year old man was charged with allegedly driving without insurance. The vehicle was seized and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drunk Driver
About 2.05am on Sunday 24th February, a 22 year old man was stopped by Police while driving his car in Kilmichael Glassary, The man allegedly provided a positive breath test and subsequently a urine sample was taken for analysis.

Anti Social Driving
About 8.30am on Saturday 23rd February, a silver car was seen to be driven recklessly on a grass area at Achnabreac, Lochgilphead. Subsequently an 18 year old man was traced and charged with allegedly driving elsewhere than on a road. The man was also issued with an ASBO. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Possession of Drugs
About 11.20pm, on Saturday 24th February, in Barmore Road, Tarbert, a car was stopped and searched and a 17 year old man was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of Cannabis. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Wasting Police Time and Breach of Bail
About 3.30pm on Monday 25th February, in the Ford area, a 31 year old man was arrested and charged with allegedly Wasting Police Time and breaching bail conditions set by the court. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Traffic Offences
On Friday 22nd February, a 71 year old man and a 42 year old woman were allegedly driving at excessive speed on the A83 at Lochgilphead, £60 Fixed penalty tickets with 3 penalty points were issued.
