Nominations are now open for this year’s Scottish Restaurant Awards, made in association with 5pm.co.uk.
The Scottish Restaurant Awards celebrate the achievements of a remarkable industry in Scotland.
In 2012, more than 4000 nominations were received for over 500 restaurants and takeaways across the country.
If you have a favourite place or know a restaurant doing something you keep going back to experience, your nomination will reward them for their hard work, if you get it in before the deadline at 22nd March.
The final awards ceremony has become one of the highlights in the industry calendar, recognising the achievements of the catering game’s most talented individuals.
2013 marks the sixth year of the popular awards and categories now include Best Use of Social Media and Sustainable Restaurant of the Year.
Last years Chef of the Year, Jeff Bland, executive chef at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, says:: ‘The Scottish Restaurant Awards inspire our industry to strive for higher standards, and put not only our restaurants on the map but the Scottish food industry itself.
‘The amount of work this industry does towards helping the Scottish economy can often be underestimated. I am delighted we have these awards to recognise the work we are all doing across the board.’
The Scottish Restaurant Awards will be held on 4th June at Ghillie Dhu, hosted by award-winning food critic, Tam Cowan. He will be joined by key industry figures, restaurateurs and celebrity foodies from across the country to celebrate the best of our restaurant industry.
