Strathclyde Police Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 29th January 2013

Update to Lochgilphead Shop Windows Smashed in December
Mid Argyll Police report that enquiries into the incidents where three shops had windows smashed in Argyll Street, Lochgilphead between Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd December, have resulted in a 29 year old man and an 18 year old woman being charged with alleged vandalism. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Theft
Between about 2.00pm on Thursday 17th and 8.00am on Thursday 24th January, a number of Iron drain grills were stolen from premises in Dalmally Road, Inveraray. Police are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 01546 702200.

Possession of Drugs
About 4.30pm on Thursday 17th January, two men were searched at a house in Easfield, Tarbert. Subsequently a 34 year old man and a 45 year old man were charged with alleged possession of Cannabis and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Breach of Bail
About 4.30pm on Thursday 24th January, a 31 year man was arrested in Lochgilphead for allegedly breaching bail conditions set by a court. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Possession of Drugs
About 11.00pm on Friday 25th January, Police attended and dealt with a report of a noisy party in Ross Crescent, Lochgilphead. At the incident, a 16 year old man was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of Cannabis and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Breach of the Peace and Possession of Drugs
About 1.50am on Saturday 26th January, a disturbance occurred in Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead, subsequently a 25 year old man was arrested and charged with allegedly Breaching the Peace and Possession of Cannabis. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Careless Driving
About 2.00pm on Saturday 26th January, a Vauxhall Combo van left the road on the A83, near Furnace. Subsequently a 20 year old man was charged with alleged careless driving. No persons were injured as a result of the collision and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Breach of Bail
About 9.00pm on Sunday 27th January, a 37 year man was arrested in Lochgilphead for allegedly breaching bail conditions set by a court. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Vandalism – Witness Appeal
Between 7.30pm on Friday 25th January and 9.00am on Sunday 27th January, 2 windows in a house at Duncholgan, Lochgilphead were smashed. Police are appealing for any witness or anyone with any information to contact them on 01546 702200.

Drunk Driver
About on 4.35pm on Monday 28th January, on the A83 near Minard, a van was stopped and the 49 year old man who was driving was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
