Traffic Scotland website again drops out closed and hazardous roads

Transport Scotland’s traffic information website, Traffic Scotland, has, as of 07.15, again dropped out of the Current Incidents List all pre-existing road problems – in favour of rush hour information.

We have reported on this repeatedly, yet the site still seems incapable of handling existing with new information.

It looks as if the rush hour incidents are handled form a single source which has priority that simpy wipes pre-existing informations off the page.

Yet this morning the A83 remains under advice to road users to exercise extreme caution at Rest and Be Thankful because of increased risk of landslides.

The A814 is closed in both directions at Rhu, because of flooding – affecting the heavy daily traffic from Helensburgh to HMNB Clyde at Faslane and at Coulport in the Rosneath peninsula.

The A815 is closed at both directions at A855 High Road Rankin’s Brae in Sandbank, near Dunoon,, because of flooding.

All this takes is a simple piece of reprogramming and yet, in months, Transport Scotland still have not actioned this.
