The Official Report of the Scottish Parliament’s Public Petitions Committee hearing into the petition raised by the Argyll First group on the impact of the unable A83 on the local economy of Argyll will be available here from Monday 19th November.

The road, as we all know, remains subject to landslides and is under a current alert of increased risk of just such events.

The Argyll First group of councillors mounted a vigorous campaign across Argyll and the Isles, to bring people together to express their views as one.

That substantial body of opinion brought a hearing of the petition at the Scottish Parliament’s Public Petitions Committee. It will be interesting to see what they have said after taking evidence from all concerned parties.

The archive video of the meeting of the Pubic Petitions Committee whose transcript is virtually the report to be published today¬† is available to watch here on the scottish Parliament’s website.
