Police warn of thefts in North Connel and Benderloch

In the last week there have been several break-ins to vehicles in the North Connel and Benderloch areas.

Thieves seem to be targeting commercial vans and cars, with tools being stolen and police are warning owners not to leave any items of value in their vehicles overnight, including personal cars.

The police are asking members of the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour to them; and if possible, take down vehicles registration details.

Residents have noticed an increase in police patrols especially late at night.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to phone Oban police on 01631 510500.
