As of 22.00 on Sunday 18th November, Argyll’s arterial road, the A83, is under renewed risk of landslide in the section at Rest and Be Thankful.
Drivers are again quite pointlessly advised to ‘exercise extreme caution’ when travelling along this road.
Once again the business and tourism sectors are hostages to fortune in Transport Scotland’s failure to address this issue with determination and dispatch.
Oban has its Winter Festival under way just now – with visitor access potentially so unaccommodating with this risk that it may dilute the intended economic impact of this event.
