A82 closed in both directions at Drumnadrochit

[Update: cleared] A road traffic accident in the village of Drumnadrochit – at Dunain Park – has led to the closure of the road in both directions.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route and should allow extra time for their journey. Whether or not there actually is a viable local diversion depends on where Dunain Park is in relation to a triangular minor road at Lewiston.

The alternative is for both north and south going traffic to use the roads on the east side of Loch Ness – the B862 with the lochside B852 exiting and entering it, and coming into the east side of Inverness city.
