The A814 at Rhu, between Helensburgh and Faslane closed in both directions at 6.30am, due to flooding.
Anyone heading to Faslane or the Rosneath peninsula to Coulport may use the A817 Haul Road.
The A815 is closed at both directions at A855 High Road Rankin’s Brae in Sandbank, near Dunoon, because of flooding.
With Argyll Ferries and Western Ferries both sailings suspended in high winds, the A83 closed with another landslide and the Tarbert Portavadie ferry on alert. there is no real way in or out of Dunoon for the time being.

I suspect that Western Ferries were off because the crew could not get through the road closure at Sandbank. At least one skipper lives in Strachur.
As usual, the BBC are treating it all as ‘edutainment’ rather than a serious attempt to help folk. If you’re stuck in your car out in the wilds, being told to look up a web site is not very helpful. Ther was no indication that the A815 was completely closed.

Most crew live in the Dunoon area, don’t they? Anyway, from AIS the first ferry did set out but turned back.
