Is the Met Office suffering from paranoia?

You have to worry about the corporate health of the Met Office. 

Its weather report for the Strathclyde area for tomorrow is carrying the following gem of conspiracy theory:

‘Late in the day more organised heavier showers developing in western coastal areas.’

  1. I’ve often thought that some of the language used in forecasts is a bit silly. Another one is commonly used by that Carol woman on breakfast TV: “there will be sunshine on offer”. Does that mean we could refuse it?

  2. In a country so affected by the ever changing weather it is a pity that the Met Office is mocked for its precise descriptive language. I guess some just prefer to criticise rather than bothering to appreciate the information being given.
