Oban Lifeboat was launched today, Monday 3rd September, at 01:30 following reports that a woman was in the water in the vicinity of the North Pier.
During the time it took for the lifeboat to make its way from the lifeboat berth on the other side of the bay, the woman had managed to climb into a boat at the North Pier.
The volunteer lifeboat crew took the woman onboard the lifeboat and took her to the lifeboat slipway where she was transferred to an ambulance.
The lifeboat, Mora Edith Macdonald, was ready for service again at 02:09.
