Looks like some major incident in the hills between Oban and Crianlarich

[Updated below] Two ambulances, a helicopter and the Oban Mountain Rescue unit have been seen minutes ago between Oban and Crianlarich..

There is no closure notice on the A85 so this would seem to be a response to a mountain incident.

We have no news on the detail but will update as soon as possible.

13;15 Update: A climber/ hill walker has been reported overdue on Ben Starav.

Oban Mountain Rescue are searching the south and another team are searching the north.

It looks as if the ambulances related to another matter.

Ben Starav is a Munro that rises steeply from the head of Loch Etive, with ridges at its top. It is a favourite viewpoint mountain and often climbed for that reason.
