In one of its many medevac mercy missions, Oban lifeboat was called out at 16.45 this evening to evacuate an elderly French lady from a yacht in Oban Marina, across Oban Bay on the Isle of Kerrera.
Mme. Marinette was, it is understood, suffering from a damaged hip. The two Paramedics who accompanied the lifeboat to Kerrera attended to her as the lifeboat returned to Oban, from where she was taken to the Lorn and the Islands General Hospital.
The lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service again at 17.30.
