Clachan’s 2012 Smallholders’ Gathering

Clachan Smallholders gathering

This annual event – on Saturday 1st September -  is another evidence of this inventive community’s great charm.

It is also warmly inclusive of smallholders, community members and visitors. You’re invited.

There are also some stalls left if anyone’s interested in being present with a purpose. Phone 01880 740 660.

At the event will be plants, produce, crafts, haircuts, face painting, therapies, teas and soup (between 1.00pm and 4,00pm), green woodworking, tombola, beer, wine and exotic drinks, competition entries, a raffle…

Then there’s the Barbeque  and Music Festival with a licensed bar, starting at 7.30 and running to midnight. The lures to this event-within-an-event are: David Hunt Ceilidh Jam, David Fee, Wallace Mair & Guest Musicians, Beer & Wine Coop.

Tickets for the evening part of the event are £6 for adults and £3 for kids .

The location of the gathering at Clachan is simply enviable; and its pedigree is good – sponsored by Campbeltown’s glorious Springbank whisky,
