The Tarbert Seafood Festival is this weekend – 7th and 8th July, with its usual tasty celebration of all things fishy.
There’s an Oyster shucking contest for the fast and dexterous on the cool Cafe Barge in the bay – all afternoon on Saturday 7th.
Now for the madness.
If you google ‘Tarbert Seafood Festival’ there is a positive litter of websites at the head of the list, all advertising the 2011, 2010 and even 2009 event. It is only if you persevere – because you KNOW it is actually happening (and if you don’t?) – that you eventually find a current website.
This space junk is damaging the brand and undermining audiences for this year’s event. Someone needs to sort this out now.
And if anyone’s been doing any serious publicity work, it doesn’t show.
