A new Facebook page, set up by Helensburgh and District Access Trust, is aiming to get local people outdoors and exploring the sites in their local area – and particularly the long distance walking trail of the Three Lochs Way.
The Three Lochs Way, one of Scotland’s great trails, is the walking gateway to Argyll linking Loch Lomond, the Gareloch and Loch Long.
The area is a popular walking route in the Dumbarton Constituency connecting towns and villages including Balloch and Inveruglas.
Dumbarton MSP Jackie Baillie, whose constituency includes Helenaburgh and Lomond, is backing this campaign.
She says: ‘In Dumbarton Constituency we are lucky enough to have one of the best walking routes, The Three Lochs Way, right on our doorstep.
‘I wanted to add my support to this new social media group as I think it is important to promote what fantastic scenery we have which will attract both hikers and mountainbikers.
‘I would encourage everyone to get outdoors and make use of this walkway.’

Brilliant idea.
