Crarae Garden goes wild on 5th August

Dont ‘worry. This is not some weird experiment to leave this glorious gorge garden to its own devices.

This is a celebration of the wildlife that hangs out at Crarae, with displays, walks to look at habitats – and the presence both of midges and those whose professional lives are dedicated to seeing an end to them.

It’s all happening on Sunday 5th August, at Crarae.

  • Strathearn Falconry is doing a display of flying birds of prey.
  • SNH is doing a red squirrel exhibition – and you may even see one of Crarae’s own visiting the feeders while you’re there;
  • National Trust for Scotland (NTS) rangers are leading walks looking at various Crarae habitats and their associated critters.

The Scottish Midge Forecast and the makers of Smidge (it’s scientific and it works) will be in attendance too, to ensure that you are not bothered by the less welcome wildlife.

Go Wild at Crarae.
