I find a reasonable amount of what Simon posts apeals to my sense of humour(hardly all though) but I care little for ABC.I do agree though that there should be more clarity as to what is coming from well placed sources and what is just a feeling in the writers water.

Demonstrating this usage makes no more point relative to the main arguments around the issues than you frequently disputing the usage. I just found a focus on semantics curious. Showing a usage does not mean the use is true or untrue. My choosing to share a link found on the first page of a Google search is hardly back breaking or indicative of my opinions. I merely find a debate on issues more interesting than dictionary corner.

The name of the team is The Rangers not newco Rangers.

James, I’m not an expoert and not being picky but
Sevco Scotland Limited, which is trading as The Rangers Football Club, is often referred to in the media as newco Rangers and Rangers newco.
But I suppose chanting “Follow Follow we will follow Sevco Scotland Limited” just doesn’t have the same ring about it.

Struan, she should just stop pontificating about everything and anything as if she had some deep insightful undertanding of all of the issues involved.
We used to call people like that a know-all. A lovely Scottish expression that very appropriately (on here) actually meant know FA….

Simon, for someone who’s so obviously upset by the content of this website you seem to have a remarkable knack for re-engaging with it when you fancy some less than gentle stirring – you’d been quiet for a while but you now seem to have come back with fists flying, spoiling for a scrap.

It does appear as if Simon has appeared with a fan club of followers (or dodgy IP address’), intent on bringing us all round to the error of our ways and follow the ABC corporate thought.
Maybe a team effort from the communication division?
Now that would be funny! The drivel being posted points to the ‘Simon Team’ scoring yet another own goal.

James Walsh – guess what? According to the BBC “BBC Scotland has learned that Charles Green’s Sevco 5088 company is not currently permitted to inherit the name ‘The Rangers Football Club”. Oooops….
