I echo the comments in this article. The relationship between the Connectivity marketing group, Transport Scotland and BEAR Scotland is proving to be a frank and open one.
BEAR have reacted quickly to any requests for information, even at weekends. We are looking forwards to the benefits of real collaborative working
- Artmap Argyll sets date for 2014 Red Dot Trail Open Studio Event
You have got to love Artmap Argyll.
This happy bunch gives a huge amount of pleasure to people, especially families, all over Argyll. Now they might get to show thier fantastic skills further afield.
I spent a day with Joe Gibbs who runs Rockness and Belladrum and when he heard the response Artmap had at Best of the West, he was interested in talking to this fantastic group of artists. The future is looking bright!
- Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative: where’s the mojo?
My apologies for the tardiness of my reply, but I have been quite ill and receiving hospital treatment. I have read your article and wanted everyone to hear it from the horses mouth.
Firstly I would like to confirm that I have indeed resigned as Executive Director of Argyll and the Isles Tourism Cooperative ltd, as of the 1st of November.( and yes legally speaking I was a contractor) Funding for my contract was coming to an end for this year, and I felt that this was a timely juncture to step down.
I have given almost five years to the cause of tourism in Argyll and the Isles, much of it as a volunteer and the industry has made great steps together during that period. It is now a much more cohesive and collaborate entity, and I am astonishingly proud of the legacy I leave.
I have had the joy of working with some brilliant people from all corners of Argyll and the Isles, (a term I may add which has now entered everyday usage!)and a few arseholes too. However the good massively out weighed the bad.
AITC’s board of director have some very good people on board, who I have loved working with, and along with the inimitable Carron Tobin and I am sure they will carry on the legacy.
My thanks to the many people who have contacted me and left messages. Jane and I are putting our energies in to our digital agency Marketing Argyll, and I will be working closely with the Homecoming / Commonwealth games events.
A big thanks to For Argyll for engaging with tourism and sharing the vision. You have been a tough audience, but a very worthwhile one, and I am sure you will continue to be so.
- Mull’s Ninth Wave surfs to award win – against Michelin Star competition
well done to Clara and John. Mull is really gearing up as a examplar of how sustainable tourism can also be the experience of a lifetime. Our recent tourism workshop which Carla attended was alive with enthusiasm and ideas….what a fantastic result and wow…..Lochaline’s Whitehouse is proving that the sound of Mull is a fertile ground!
- James Martin’s Loch Fyne and Glen Food programme repeated tomorrow
