But you ! Happy are you with (what Dave McEwan Hill called) the toy boats?

Lowering the standards???
Reneging on election promises?????
Why not ask Dave?? (if he’s not barred…)

Where do you think the devolved government receives its cash from?
Its not a change of government that we need but a change of level.

Amen to that. The upside to Ron not getting in is that he can focus on getting back to full health and I am pleased for him that his place representing the ward as been taking by a fellow SNP councillor. I think it is safe to say that Ron will still be active for the SNP across Argyll and also at a local level.
Irrespective of political allegiance it would be nice to think that everyone recognises that this has been a sad year for local politics with the loss of councillors from the SNP and the Lib Dems – with that in mind I wish Ron the very best of recoveries.

Best of luck with your future endeavours. Without doublt one of the hardest working councillors In Argyll. ABC will miss your expertise but I am sure the SNP group will be on a mission to turn round this failing council.

The fact that the SNP actually lost four candidates – three of them sitting councillors – in the run up to this election makes the result – the highest number of SNP councillors ever in Argyll and Bute – very credible indeed. You will meet very few people as dogged and determined as Ron Simon and he surely will be back!
Barred from what, Simon? Ladbrokes. Never!
